Please join Women in Global Health – Georgia, USA, and the Women in Global Health DC Chapters for a conversation on the impact of the US rollbacks of abortion rights (e.g., the decision to overturn Roe v Wade, the introduction of early abortion bans in US states) on the global movement to expand abortion rights. Our panelists Dr. Lucía Berro Pizzarossa and Nabeeha Kazi Hutchins will discuss what the changing US landscape of abortion means for the health of those dependent on US donor funding for sexual and reproductive health abroad. Panelists will also discuss their experiences working with movements that have expanded abortion rights and steps global public health professionals can take to ensure sexual and reproductive health access. Lanice Williams, Women in Global Health DC, will moderate the event.
